The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a diverse cast of personalities, and a exciting storyline featuring celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of the new season are included.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of heroes who will split off from the main group to undertake their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.

This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Introduction, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might appear mismatched, but the events of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death started the campaign’s events—manipulated the foes for his selfish purposes, breaking into the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to auction.

The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each character has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could help the party enter areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, Teor swore a life debt to The savior for his rescue and will now go with him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the family.

This results in them few options but to head to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

According to the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to round up the Explorers and Planners parties.

Fans can look forward to finding out which characters will be in which group in the season’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on October 24.
