Preamble
Three weeks ago, this season's English top flight appeared dominated by Liverpool. Now it's safe under control of Arsenal. This has been somewhat premature given that the season's barely started, but that's the modern discourse for you. Admittedly, everyone contributes. Therefore will Arsenal consolidate their lead in first place, versus a team which has solely overcome them on single occasion during previous fourteen matches? Or could they permit advantage to diminish at a venue where they've been unable to win across their most recent two matches? The Cottagers need a result themselves, following defeats in their most recent fixtures before the international break, thus this city rivalry promises excitement. Start time is 5.30pm. The game commences!
