Meteorological Predictions

Moist weather were expected to linger along significant areas of Queensland's east this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coast.

Tuesday was predicted as the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent severe weather risk expected across multiple regions of both regions.

Health Warning

Health officials alerted that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, specifically given the current weather patterns.

This warning comes after past events where comparable situations led to substantial respiratory problems in the region.
